Vegan Tartar Sauce
Vegan Tartar Sauce
I'm one of those people who love Tartar Sauce.
It could be because the only tartar sauce I've eaten is my mom's homemade (albeit very simple) super chunky Sauce.
I remember her baking some fish sticks and whipping up her simple Tartar Sauce and enjoying a quick snack, just her and I.
Maybe that's why I just had to share this quick and simple recipe for you guys... because, ya know, memories.
Some of you may think I am coping out and I just need to post something as it's been a few days. And well.. your not completely wrong. But I also REALLY FREAKING LOVE TARTAR SAUCE OK?!
I'm weird... I am aware. It's a fact I have dealt with and accepted.
Now feast your eyes on my picture that took way too long to compile to make it *Pinterest Worthy*
Obviously there is some room for picture editing growth... but I'm proud.
It's definitely better than my other pictures, so slowly but surely getting there!
So brace yourselves.
This is extremely simple.
It very well may bore you.
You have been warned.
Ingredients:
1/2 of a Dill Pickle
4 Heaping tablespoons Vegan Mayo
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon fresh Lemon Juice
Pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Dice your pickle to your desired size, and place into a bowl.
2. Add your mayo, pepper, garlic powder and lemon to your pickles.
3. Give it a good stir, taste, adjust if necessary, and serve!
This makes enough for 2-3 Servings.
Seriously this is it! It's so simple and a quick and easy thing to compliment many dishes!
I like to pair my Vegan Tartar Sauce with Gardein's Fishless Filets.
I pop them into my air fryer for about 10 minutes and place them on a hamburger bun with some sauce and voila! A quick little sandwich!
I hope you enjoy, and when you make it, be sure to let me know!
